Jacquie and Uosis

A small boutique label, creators Jacquie and Uosis do all the designing and most of the work.
They print or paint on silk chiffon, organza, linen, and boiled wool. Besides clothing, they also conjure
with scarves, jewelry, and handbags. They let caprice rule selecting 'found' ribbons, feathers, furs,
metallic and trims for their fun and flirty leather boleros.
Each piece is constructed individually, using computer technologies for the surface detail.
Hand processes such as shibori dying and pleating further enhance the fabrics. Gild the Lily prides
itself on making one-of-a-kind pieces that stand the test of stylish sang froid.
